  The first edition of Industry Days kicks off
The first edition of Industry Days will be held on March 22 - 23, 2016 within the International Film Clubs Festival Febiofest.
  International Film Club Festival Febiofest starts!
The 23rd International Film Clubs Festival Febiofest (March 17 – 23) opens its gates with wide selection of Slovak films in its rich programme.
  The Sun in a Net 2016 - Nominations
Members of the Slovak Film and Television Academy (SFTA) voted in a first round and selected nominees for the Slovak National Film Awards The Sun in a Net 2016 in particular categories. Slovak films premiered in 2014 and 2015 compete for this award. The members of the Academy selected the films from 13 feature films, 19 documentaries and 10 animation films.
  FEBIOFEST in Prague Welcomes Slovak Films
The 23rd Prague International Film Festival – FEBIOFEST, held on March 17 – 25, 2016, features several Slovak films.
  Rebels with Camera in Poland
A showcase Rebels with Camera : Czechoslovak New Wave kicks off on February 19 and brings the best of Czechoslovak New Wave into two Polish cities Wroclaw and Warsaw.
  Two Slovak films at the 45th Rotterdam IFF
The 45th Rotterdam IFF (Jan 27 – Feb 7, 2016) will feature two Slovak films in its world premieres. The selection of the respected festival contains a mid-length film 5 October by Martin Kollar and a short Gardeners by Mira Fornay.
  Anilogue focuses on Slovak animation
The 13th edition of International Animated Film Festival Anilogue (Nov 25 – 29, 2015) in Budapest focuses on Slovak shorts.
  Slovak Films Far from Bratislava
Ten Slovak films will travel far from Bratislava at the end of November. A showcase New Slovak Cinema - Far from Bratislava will be held in the Cinematheque of Danish Film Institute in Copenhagen on November 21 – 29 2015.
  The jubilee Festival of Slovak and Central European Film in Cran-Gevrier
The Festival of Slovak and Central European Film celebrates the 10th anniversary. The biennale showcase which takes place in the French town Cran-Gevrier will be held on November 19 – 25 and will traditionally present the recent Slovak production.
  Slovak Films at Bratislava IFF 2015
Bratislava International Film Festival opens its 17th edition. The festival will be held on Nov 12 – 17 in three municipal and club cinema theatres: Lumiére Cinema, Mladosť Cinema and Nostalgia Cinema. The rich programme presenting the best of European cinema will also introduce more than twenty Slovak titles or films by Slovak filmmakers.
