The European Film Academy (EFA) has nominated the Hungarian-Slovak film White Plastic Sky for the prestigious selection of the five best European animated feature films premiered between June 2022 and the end of May 2023.

The 50th Film Fest Ghent (10 – 21 October 2023) will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Viktor Kubal, the father of Slovak animated film. An American composer of electroacoustic music Claire Rousay provides Kubal's The Bloody Lady with an all-new live soundtrack.
  Digitally restored film Dragon's Return in Lyon

The film adaptation of Slovak novella of the same name, Dragon‘s Return (1967), directed by Eduard Grečner, will be screened at one of the most renowned international classic film festivals, Lumière in Lyon (14 – 22 October 2023). The film will be presented alongside other world works in the Treasures and Curiosities section.

66th edition of International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film (17 – 23 October 2022) will present multiple Slovak film in the program, including a classic doc Black Days.
  Slovak animation classics travel to Taiwan

Five short animated classic films from the collections of the National Film Archive of the Slovak Film Institute will be presented to the audience during the Kaohsiung Film Festival (7 - 22 October 2023) in Taiwan. In addition, the festival will also screen a contemporary Slovak film My Name is Edgar and I Have a Cow, which will compete for a prize in the International Short Film Competition.
