  Slovak films introduced in Tbilisi

Both the contemporary and archive Slovak cinema will be brought to Georgian audiences - the Slovak film showcase, entitled Made in Slovakia, will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia at the Amirani cinema during November 14 - 17, 2013. It will bring six full-length films and a collection of four shorts.

The long-expected documentary feature debut of director Robert Kirchhoff Normalization started off its festival career with three awards at significant documentary events. Marek Mackovič's project Okhwan's Mission Impossible was also awarded at the DOK.Incubator workshop.

The most significant Greek film festival, which will soon reach its 54th edition - Thessaloniki IFFi (1. - 10. 11. 2013), will present three Slovak films in its official programme: Miracle, My Dog Killer and Honeymoon. All three of these titles, and two additional films - Fine, Thanks and Love Me or Leave Me will be available also at the Agora Film Market.

The Intl Festival of Documentary and Animation Films DOK Leipzig (28. 10. - 3. 11. 2013) will be welcoming three Slovak films in its programme: the International Competition of Documentary Films will present Normalization, the International Programme of Documentary Films will feature the co-production title Eugenic Minds and the International Competition of Animation Films will include the short film Pandas.

The 17th edition of Jihlava International Documentary Festival will be held from October 24 - 29, 2013. Slovakia is represented not only in the festival programme, but also industry programme for film professionals and in several accompanying events.
  Slovak animation shorts receiving awards

Slovak animation shorts aimed at different target groups are having a successful October: while Pandas by Matúš Vizár received the Short Grand Prix for the Best Short Film at the Warsaw IFF, the Slovak TV series for children Mimi and Lisa by Katarína Kerekesová received the award for the Best Animation Television Series at the Tofuzi festival in Georgia.
