  The fourth edition of Industry Days is ready to kick off!

The upcoming 26th International Film Clubs Festival Febiofest not only brings important films of key auteur directors, but continues to open up to Slovak and international industry guests. 4th Industry Days represents an important platform for film professionals, including the young upcoming generation to network and talk about their film projects. The Industry programme includes a presentation of upcoming Slovak films, a showcase of educational platforms for filmmakers and their impact on quality film projects, as well as further master classes and discussion panels. 4th Industry Days will take place March 25 – 26, 2019 in Bratislava, Kino Lumière.

The 26th edition of International Film Clubs Festival Febiofest (March 20 – 26, 2019), with the theme „Evil in film“, has prepared a program which includes shorts by young emerging talents, Slovak audiovisual heritage, experimental works as well as the screenings dedicated to the youngest audience.
  Livre Paris with Slovak Films

This March, the book salon Livre Paris presents 25 Slovak books that have been translated to French. As Bratislava is City of Focus, Kino Visegrad together with The Centre for Information on Literature prepared a film showcase in cinema Christine 21 starting on 14 March. Kino Visegrad Présent: Bratislava. Au bord, au centre lasts for four days, with the last screening on 17 March 2019.
  Victim by Michal Blaško selected for L’Atelier 2019

Young Slovak director Michal Blaško will return to Cannes with his upcoming feature-length debut Victim. The project was selected for the 15th edition of L’Atelier, Cinéfondation's programme which helps emerging filmmakers realize their first feature films.

Slovak Film and Television Academy (SFTA) will once again honour the most remarkable films and creative accomplishment of Slovak cinema. Slovak National Film Awards The Sun in a Net 2019 will be announced Friday, April 5, 2019 during the Gala ceremony, broadcasted live on TV channel Jednotka (RTVS).
  Slovak Film Institute in Clermont-Ferrand!

Slovak short films will be presented at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival (Feb 1 – 9, 2019), one of the world’s largest and most prestigious film festival dedicated to short films. Thanks to co-operation with Czech Film Center and Slovenian Film Centre, Slovak Film Institute will attend the Short Film Market (Feb 4 – 7, 2019) for the first time in history under the umbrella of Central European Cinema.
  Slovakia in spotlight of When East Meets West

Slovakia is one of the countries in spotlight of industry platform When East Meets West (January, 20 - 22, 2019). A numerous delegation of Slovak film professionals will be representing the country at the event that is running paralely to 30th Trieste Film Festival (January 18 – 25, 2019). At the same time, the festival will introduce five Slovak films in various sections.

The 20th edition of Bratislava International Film Festival (November 29 – December 2, 2018) has prepared a selection of contemporary Czech and Slovak Cinema. Most of the selected films were made in Czech-Slovak co-production as a result of the natural continuation of the filmmaking cooperation between the two neighboring countries after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, the state whose 100th foundation anniversary we celebrate this year.

The upcoming showcase Jornadas de cine eslovaco (Slovak Film Days)kicking off Tuesday, November 6, in Multicine Infanta, Havana, Cuba, will introduce a selection of five successful Slovak films of the past three years, as well as one archive title from the collection of Slovak National Film Archive to Cuban audiences.
