  Children received three Tiantan awards in Beijing
Children, fiction debut by the renowned Slovak documentary filmmaker Jaro Vojtek received three of ten Tiantan Awards at 5th Beijing IFF.
  The Slovak Producer on the Move 2015 is Marek Urban
This year during the Cannes IFF, Slovakia will be represented in the Producers on the Move (organized by European Film Promotion, Slovak Film Institute being a member), as well: the Slovak "POM" is Marek Urban (sentimentalfilm).
  28th Finále Plzeň with Slovak films
The 28th edition of the yearly retrospective and competition showcase of Czech and since last year Slovak films, as well, Finále Plzeň (26. 4. - 2. 5. 2015) will host a significant number of Slovak titles produced in the last year.
  Slovak Film Week in Bratislava
The Slovak Film and Television Academy came together with the Slovak Film Institute and the Radio and Television Slovakia to launch a specialized Slovak film festival mapping recent Slovak film production. The inaugural Slovak Film Week takes place April 13 - 16, 2015 in Bratislava.
  Children by Jaro Vojtek to compete for Tiantan Award in Beijing
The debut feature by documentary filmmaker Jaro Vojtek Children (2014) was announced as a Tiantan Award nominee, which will be granted by a seven-member jury composed of Luc Besson, Fyodor Bondarchuk, Peter Chan, Robert Mark Kamen, Kim Ki-Duk, Fernando Meirelles a Zhou Xun at the 5th Beijing IFF (April 16 - 24, 2015).
  Two awards for Koza at Vilnius FF
The closing of the jubilee 20th edition of the Kino Pavasaris Vilnius FF (March 19 - April 2, 2015) was a successful evening the the debut feature by Ivan Ostrochovský Koza (2015).
  Three Slovak films to compete in Vilnius
After receiving two awards at the last year's edition, Slovak films are heading to Vilnius FF Kino Pavasaris once again. Both feature and short films will competing in the festival programme.
  Slovak project selected for L'Atelier in Cannes
As the first in Slovak history, the feature debut OUT (Vychladnutie) by György Kristóf, was selected for the 11th Cinéfondation L’Atelier, which is a part of the prestigious Cannes IFF. The film was invited among the 15 most promising projects from the whole world.

Second Run releases its third Slovak title: following The Sun in a Net and Birds, Orphans and Fools, Dušan Hanák exceptional documentary Pictures of the Old World reaches the English-speaking audiences in the Second Run DVD offer.
  Animation in Action coming to the Lumière cinema
Animation in Action is a project of the V4 countries aimed to promote classical animation for children and it is an activity based upon the co-operation of film archives in Katowice, Bratislava, Prague and Budapest. It consists of touring screenings of Polish, Slovak, Czech and Hungarian animation film collections, which will be introduced in archives in all four countries.
