65th edition of International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film (17 – 23 October 2022) will present nine Slovak film in the program.

The 38th edition of the Warsaw Film Festival will take place from 14 to 22 October 2022. It will present new Slovak feature thriller Shadowplay directed by Peter Bebjak in the international premiere within the International Competition section.
  A Case for the Defence Attorney world premieres at Lumière Festival

The Lumière Festival in Lyon (15 – 23 October 2022) is one of the largest and most respected international festivals of the classic film. Slovak cinema in this year's program will be represented by Martin Hollý's digitally restored film A Case for the Defence Attorney (1964). This is the fifth digitally restored film from the collections of the National Film Archive of the SFI that festival has selected for its program.
  Slovak representation in the second edition of Producers LINK

Kids Kino Industry and Cinekid for Professionals once again join forces for the second edition of Producers LINK, a programme for emerging producers of children’s content. The programme is designed to stimulate the production of top-quality children’s content and pan-European co-productions, providing crucial follow-up both during and after these two leading autumn kids events. Slovak producer Agáta Jeleneková will take part in the programme.

The 79th Venice International Film Festival (31 August – 10 September 2022) will present the world premiere of Michal Blaško’s feature-length debut Victim in the Orizzonti competition. In addition, the Slovak minority co-production Ordinary Failures, directed by Cristina Grosan, will premiere within the Giornate degli Autori sidebar.
  Four world premieres of Slovak films in Locarno

The prestigious Locarno Film Festival (3 - 13 August 2022) will present for the first time ever four Slovak films in their world premiere. In addition to these, Slovak cinema will also be represented in the non-competitive programme for kids.

The 48th edition of the Summer Film School Uherské Hradiště (29 July – 4 August 2022) has prepared a colourful programme and traditionally includes many Slovak films and co-productions. In addition to the new releases, the screen will feature a classic from the collections of the National Film Archive of the SFI Beware...! (1946) directed by Martin Frič.
