  Producers on the Move: Mátyás Prikler
This year, Slovakia will be represented in the programme of the European Film Promotion (EFP) Producers on the Move, as well: the Slovak "POM" is Mátyás Prikler, scriptwriter, director and producer at his company MPhilms.

  Slovak Pavilion in Cannes
In 2014, Slovak cinema is present in the Cannes market International Village for the 11th time!
  Slovak Film Archives on DVD and Blu-ray
Slovak Film Institute releases Signum Laudis by Martin Hollý on DVD and Blu-ray in its digitally restored and remastered version, with subtitles in multiple language versions.
  News from the Slovak Audiovisual Fund
On April 29, Martin Šmatlák was unanimously re-elected by the Board of the Slovak Audiovisual Fund as the Fund´s executive director for the next five-year period.
  Record-breaking figures for 2013
In terms of film production, 2013 became the most productive in the history of Slovakia with 22 Slovak and co-production full-length films (thereof only 8 minority co-productions). In addition, it marked a record in the number of premieres (271).
