Nine Slovak films at Dok Leipzig
65th edition of International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film (17 – 23 October 2022) will present nine Slovak film in the program.
Competition for the Audience Award Short Documentary and Animated Film includes animated film Money and Happiness by Ana Nedeljković and Nikola Majdak Jr.
Igor Ivanko’s documentary feature debut Fragile Memory was selected for non-competitive Panorama section, while Lucie Sunková’s Suzie in the Garden is waiting for the young audience in Kids Dok programme.
Festival decided to celebrate Central and Eastern European shorts with special program of 25 films from the region shown one evening in a continuous screening. The program was made in co-operation with national centers and institutes of Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland, and Slovakia (represented by the Slovak Film Institute). Audience will have a chance to see Concrete Times (d. Lucia Kašová), Extraction (d. Kateřina Hroníková), Persona Grata (d. Daniela Krajčová), Poetika Anima (d. Kriss Sagan), Wild Beasts (d. Marta Prokopová, Michal Blaško) and Sh_t Happens (d. David Štumpf, Michaela Mihályi).
