107 Mothers and Love, Dad nominated for the European Film Awards 2022

The European Film Academy (EFA) has nominated two Slovak films in the prestigious selection of the best of European cinema released between June 2021 and the end of May 2022. Petr Kerekes' film 107 Mothers is nominated in the European Discovery - Prix FIPRESCI category, while Diana Cam Van Nguyen's short Love, Dad got nomination in the European Short Film category.

Director and producer Peter Kerekes is best known as a documentary filmmaker. Last year, however, his fiction feature debut 107 Mothers, which was also initially developed as a documentary, world premiered at the prestigious Venice Film Festival and won the Orizzonti Prize for Best Screenplay.

Diana Cam Van Nguyen's short animated documentary Love, Dad world premiered in the Pardi di domani section at Locarno and then screened at dozens of festivals, winning more than forty awards.

Winners of the 35th European Film Awards will be revealed during the ceremony on 10 December 2022 in Reykjavík.
