3 Seasons in Hell in the selection list for EFA Awards 2010
The European Film Academyhas announced the titles of the 46 films (representing 32 countries) on this year’s selection list, the list of films recommended for a nomination for the European Film Awards 2010. One of the selected films is the the Czech-German-Slovak love drama 3 Seasons in Hell by Tomáš Mašín, awarded by three Czech National Awards Czech Lion for the Best Actor (Kryštof Hádek), Best Cinematography (Karl Oskarsson) and Best Sound (Pavel Rejholec, Jakub Čech) and was included in the Competition Section at Karlovy Vary IFF in July. The Slovak co-producer is the Trigon Production company.
Foxes by Mira Fornay was the Slovak national nomination of the Slovak Film and Television Academy and the documentary selected by the Slovak Film and Television Academy was The Border by Jaroslav Vojtek. In the coming weeks, the 2,300 members of the European Film Academy will vote for the nominations in the different award categories. The nominations will then be announced on 6 November at the Sevilla European Film Festival in Spain. Last year the documentary film Cooking History by Peter Kerekes was nominated in the Documentary Film EFA category for the Prix Arte Award.
The 23rd European Film Awards with the presentation of the winners will take place in Tallinn/Estonia on December 4, 2010.
