What awaits us after death remains a mystery, even though we doggedly seek an answer. Does this question even make sense? This documentary is about death and dying and about two (im)possibilities of life after death. In the first view, we take a look at current scientific knowledge which does not exclude some form of endurance for the human substance even after physical death. In the second one, we look into the author’s personal experience with the death of a beloved and at how well-known personalities in the art-world cope with mortality.
>>Čo nás čaká po smrti, zostáva tajomstvom, aj keď urputne hľadáme odpoveď. Má táto otázka zmysel? Dokumentárny film je o smrti a umieraní a o dvoch (ne)možnostiach posmrtnej existencie. V prvom pohľade sa pozrieme na súčasné poznatky vedy, ktoré dnes nevylučujú istú formu pretrvania ľudskej podstaty i po fyzickej smrti, v druhom na osobné zážitky autora so smrťou blízkeho človeka a na to, ako sa s faktom smrteľnosti vyrovnávajú známe osobnosti umeleckého sveta, ktoré „prežili svoju smrť“ – spisovateľ Michal Viewegh, herec a režisér Jan Kačer a ďalší.
