Slovak delegation at Sunny Side of the Doc

Sunny Side of the Doc, an international market for documentary cinema, gives a special attention to Central and Eastern European region this year. Five Slovak projects are present at the marketplace which takes place online on June 21–24, 2021.

Four Slovak projects are part of a matchmaking session and will meet with international sales agents. The films are: Dezo Hoffmann – Photographer of The Beatles, directed by Patrik Lančarič and produced by Trigon Production; The Boundaries of Fidelity, directed by Diana Fabiánová and produced by Arina; Sacrifice, directed by Denis Dobrovoda and produced by Kolsa Films SK; and A Happy Man, directed by Soňa Gyárfáš Lutherová and produced by Azyl Production.

Silvia Panáková of Arina will also represent Slovakia at Meet the Central & Eastern European Delegation, a panel discussion that will present film industry and co-production opportunities of the region to the international audience.

Slovak Film Institute has a virtual pavilion at the marketplace where international film professionals can find information about Slovak films, film industry and the SFI.

Slovak project As Long as I Live, directed by Roman Ďuriš and produced by Bright Sight Pictures, was selected to be part of Ex Oriente Film. First session of the three-part workshop dedicated to development of the documentary films also takes place during Sunny Side of the Doc.

Slovak-Czech delegation at Sunny Side of the Doc is organized by SFI in co-operation with Czech Audiovisual Producers' Association and Institute of Documentary Film.
