Slovak representation at the 28th Cottbus FF

The 28th edition of Cottbus Film Festival (November 6-11, 2018), focused on Eastern and Central European cinema will introduce Slovak and coproduction films with remarkably high attendance and contemporary films for children.

Dance film Backstage by Andrea Sedláčková and roadmovie Winter Flies by Olmo Omerzu will compete in U18 Youth Film Competition.

Hits, a section dedicated to films with high attendance will screen coproduction trilogy Garden Store by Jan Hřebejk. Along with its three parts Deserter, Suitor and The Family Friend, the section will introduce miniseries produced for Česká televize (Czech Television) Justice by Peter Bebjak.

Six episodes of the first Slovak 3D animated series Websters (d. Katarína Kerekesová) will please the youngest audience. Children´s Film section will also present coproduction family film The Third Wish by Vít Karas.

Director Michal Blaško will present his upcoming feature debut Victim during coproduction market Connecting Cottbus to a hand-picked audience of co-producers, sales agents and other potential partners and compete for a variety of awards as well.
