Slovak films travel in April

Slovak films will finish April with a significant festival presence - they will be available at the 21st Hot Docs in Toronto, 11th Crossing Europe in Linz and 6th PriFilmFest in Prishtina.

The successful documentary by the director trio Pavol Pekarčík, Ivan Ostrochovský, Peter Kerekes Velvet Terrorists, which received awards at festivals both in Karlovy Vary and Berlin, will be also presented at the prestigious documentary festival 21st Hot Docs (24. 4. - 4. 5. 2014) in Toronte. In a North American premiere, the will be shown within the World Showcase section and will be personally introduced by director Pavol Pekarčík.

Another successful documentary, which was awarded in Jihlava and Leipzig during the autumn of 2013 - Normalization by Robert Kirchhoff, will be introduced at the 11. Crossing Europe (25. - 30. 4. 2014) festival in Linzi. The film will be personally presented by the director Robert Kirchhoff in the European Panorama Documentary section.

A significant presence of Slovak films is marked for the upcmoing 6. PriFilmFest (25. 4. - 2. 5. 2014) in Prishtina. The European Film Competition will feature the debut fiction by Juraj Lehotský Miracle, which added a new award from Vilnius to its award list and the mentioned documentary Velvet Terrorists by Pavol Pekarčík, Ivan Ostrochovský and Peter Kerekes, which was internationally premiered in Berlin. The Middle Length Competition Programme will include Exhibition by directors Andrej Kolenčík a Peter Begányi.
