Velvet Terrorists Awarded in Berlin
The international premiere of Velvet Terrorists (2013), a documentary directed by the director trio Pekarčík, Ostrochovský and Kerekes, has attracted attention at the 64th Berlinale. The film was awarded by the Tagesspiegel Readers’ Prize. The decision was made by 9 jury members, who were chosing among the Forum section.
Velvet Terrorists is a story about Stano, Fero a Vlado, the men who fighted againts the totalitarian regime and payed a big price - the lost of personal freedom and love.
Film was made in Slovak, Czech and Croatian co-production and came to Slovak cinemas in October 2013.
