Slovak films heading for Trieste

After the successful start of 2012, Slovak films will be also participating at the 23rd Alpe Adria Film Festival in Trieste (19. - 25. 1. 2012), as well.

The debut The House by Zuzana Liová, which recently received the New Visions / New Voices Award in Palm Springs, will be presented in the Feature Film Competition. The director of the film will be present in Trieste and will participate in the Q&A session with authors, taking place on Monday, January 23, at 10:50.

The animation short by Vanda Raýmanová Who's There? is included in the Animation Programme section. 

The recent production of the Bratislava The Academy of Performing Arts will be presented within the Eastweek Showreel section, which presents the films of film schools. Slovak student films will be represented by: ktorá A Few Milimetres Under the Root (dir. Michal Haruštiak), Bódhissatva in Petržalka (r. Teodor Kuhn), Lost Children (r. Teodor Kuhn), The Spinsters (r. Katarína Hlinčíková).

Slovakia will be represented by the decision maker Ivan Hronec (Film Europe CE) in the Industry Programme of the festival When East Meets West.
