Slovak Films at Toronto IFF
Two Slovak films were selected for one of the most significant festivals in North America - Toronto IFF: the winning film from Karlovy Vary Gypsy and the film waiting for its premiere in Venice Alois Nebel.The latest film by Martin Šulík Gypsy received four awards in Karlovy Vary (two of which were give by non-statutory juries) and will be screened within the Contemporary World Cinema section.
The Czech director Tomáš Luňák's debut Alois Nebel, a film combining fiction and animation by the special technique rotoscoping, was selected for the Discovery section.
