Awards to Slovak cinema at the Bratislava IFF 2011

Bratislava IFF announced its winners yesterday night at the closing ceremony of the event.

The four awards granted by the Main Jury of the festival included the award for the Best Actor, which was given to the Czech actor Ivan Trojan for his performance in the Slovak film Visible World.

The UniCredit Bank Prize for the Best Slovak Film (Viewers' Choice) was granted to The House by Zuzana Liová and the short animation Dust and Glitter by Michaela Čopíková.

The Slovak music composer Michal Novinski received the Film Europe Award for successful presentation of Slovak film abroad.

In co-operation with the Capital City of Slovak Republic Bratislava the festival awarded the significant Slovak actor Jozef Adamovič by a tile on the Movie Walk of Fame.
