The House Receiving Awards

Not only a professional Jury but also viewers appreciate the Slovak-Czech debut by Zuzana Liová The House. After receiving the New Voices / New Visions Award in Palm Springs, USA, the film was granted with the Trieste Award at the Alpe Adria Film Festival in Italy.

The awards at the festival are not given by Juries but they are the decision of the festival audience. The House is, thus, successful not only within the professional world, but is appreciated by festival viewers, which is a very positive signal for Slovak cinema. After the Anonimul Trophy from Romania it is the second viewers' award for the film.

Since its premiere at the Berlinale FORUM 2011, the film was screened at more thatn 30 international film festivals, gathered several awards, and in 2012, it still travels the festival world, next chance to see the movie is at Goteborg IFF (January 27 - february 6, 2012, www.giff.se).
