Slovak animation at Anima Mundi 2016

Five Slovak animated films are prepared for the screening at the 23rd International Animation Festival of Brazil Anima Mundi ( Oct 25 - 30, 2016, Rio de Janeiro and Nov 2 - 6, 2016 Sao Paulo).

The omnibus Murderous Tales (d. Jan Bubeníček) vies in the Feature Films Competition. The film consists of three stories - Antonio Cacto, Lighthouse and Big Man - and three ultra-short blackouts: Charge the Dragon. Each episode  uses a different production technology and belong to a different genre, but they are related in the topic of heroism and death.

tar Taxi
(d. J. Krumpolec), about the adventures of Hugo, a small boy, and Peppino, a taxi driver, on their journey through the dangerous universe based on the original story by the acclaimed writer Gianni Rodari; is shown in the Short Film Competition for Children. 
A co-production title Superbia (d. Luca Tóth) about native people of the surrealistic land of Superbia, where men and women form separate societies, competes in the Short Film Competition.

Two student films Cowboyland (d. David Štumpf) and Skáčem (d. Peter Martinka) are shown within the non-competitive section Animation of course!.
