Eleven Slovak films in Competition at the Lubuskie Film Summer

The 43rd edition of the Lubuskie Film Summer Central and Eastern Europe Lagów (Poland) features a great number of Slovak films (14), 11 of them in the main competition programme. The festival takes place from June 29 to July 6, 2014.

The Feature Fiction Film Competition presents 5 titles:
The Candidate (2013), debut by Jonáš Karásek, Slovak box office hit from 2013, Miracle (2013) by Juraj Lehotský, Fine, Thanks (2013) by Mátyás Prikler and two minority co-productions Like Never Before (2013) by Zdeněk Tyc and Clownwise (2013) by Viktor Tauš.

The selection of the Documentary Film Competition features Normalization (2013) by Robert Kirchhoff, Miner´s Bread by Roman Fabián and two student films from The Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava The Stop on Main Street by Peter Zákuťanský and Pure Mind (2013) by Kristína Lapšanská.

Also the Slovak short films take part in the competition:
The Exhibition (2013) by Andrej Kolenčík and Peter Begányi and Homo Ciris (2013) by Jana Mináriková.

Slovak cinema is represented in the Panorama section:
The documentary Exhibits or Stories from the Castle (2013) by Palo Korec and animated short films Pandas (2013) by Matúš Vizár and Snow (2013) by Ivana Šebestová.
