Nicky's Family broadcast at the German ARD

6,6 million viewers were watching the Slovak-Czech docudrama Nicky's Family by Matej Mináč at the German television ARD last week.

Under the title Sir Nicky – Hero Against His Will ARD broadcast the film in German dubbing on Wednesday, January 18 at 10:45 pm. ARD also nominated the film for the prestigious CIVIS 2012 Award, which is given for integration and cultural diversity. The film was also broadcast by the Belgian RTBF in January and the Hungarian Duna TV will present the documentary on Friday, January 27 at 9:30 pm, to commemorate the World Holocaust Victims Day. Nicky's Family became the most visited documentary in Czech and Slovak cinemas last year, with more than 53 000 viewers . So far, it has received nine awards at various international festivals.
