Berlinale 2008 and Slovak Cinematography

Marko Igonda as a Slovak Shooting Star 24.01.2008 (press release) In the on-coming prestigious 58th International Film Festival in Berlin, Slovakia will participate in the Shooting Stars project for the 2nd time. Its 11th year, held during the Berlinale from 9th to 12th February 2008, will look differently this year, and our participation in the present selection of stars is a great success of Slovakia on the international scale. Being nominated by the Slovak Film Institute, the Slovak representative among nine Shooting Star participants is the actor Marko Igonda.
Unique exhibition of more than 30 posters of Slovak films produced in 60s, 70s and 80s starts in Galery of Slowakisches Institut in Berlin on February 6 (Opening at 7.00 pm). The exhibition will last until February 29. |
