Slovak cinema at EFM 2008

In the 58th International Film Festival in Berlin, held from 7th to 17th February 2008, the Slovak Republic will take an active part also in European Film Market, where Slovakia, together with the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Slovenia, will have their own presentation and information stand Central European Cinema for the third time. Slovakia will promote its cinematography in the film market through the so called market screening, and the film of the director and producer Martin Repka Return of the Storks will be released. Moreover, there will be presented other Slovak films in the stall, made in collaboration. Foreign film experts will have the opportunity to see them on DVDs together with shots or trailers of films which are being made, then presskits, a catalogue to the film projects New Slovak Films 2008 – 2009, and other materials. In the stall there will also be room for business appointments of Slovak film professionals. Besides the participation in the film market and in Shooting Stars in Berlin, Slovakia will take part in the presentation of European Cinema Yearbook 2007 and of International Film Guide 2008. The Slovak participation in the IFF the Berlinale and in European film market will be provided by the Slovak Film Institute.
