FOXES selected for 24th International Critics´ Week Venice
FOXES (orig.: Líštičky, 2009 CZ-SK-IRE), the first feature film by the Slovak director Mira Fornay, was selected for 24. International Critics' Week » (24. Settimana Internazionale della Critica) within 66. Venice International Film Festival (September 2-12, 2009).
FOXES tells the story about envy, jealousy, and dependency between two sisters, but mainly about their love for one another. It is a simple story about betrayal, redemption and forgiveness. It's sister's love-story – a fiction film with mystery and the magic of memory, which is told in with strict realism in the form of character driven drama.
