Life in a Day by the Academy Award-winning director Kevin Macdonald had a successful start: besides its world premiere at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in the USA, the film was presented in its European premiere at the 61st Berlinale IFF, in the Panorama Special section, where it got the 3rd place of the audience voting – Publikumspreis.

The documentary film, capturing the world in a single day – July 24, 2010, drew from submissions via YouTube – altogether 4.500 hours of material coming from 192 coutries. One of the successful contributions was the footage from the upcoming film of Slovak directors Marek Mackovič a Dušan Milko – Okhwan. The main character of the film is Okhwan Yoon, who for nine years travels the world on his bicycle, trying not only to fight for freedom, but to be an inspiration for people to reconsider their fast and busy lifestyles, as well.

Director Marek Mackovič presented the film Life in a Day both in Park City at the Sundance Film Festival and at Berlinale.

The film will be screened at Karlovy Vary IFF on July 6, 2011 at 11:30 in the Grand Hall.
