Slovak attendance at Warsaw Film Festival

The 32nd Warsaw Film Festival (Oct 7 – 16) introduces Slovak films within both official and industry programme.

The official programme features three Slovak films, each in a different section.
In a competition sidebar Free Spirit Competition for independent, innovative and rebellious films is shown an animated omnibus Murderous Tales (d. Ján Bubeníček).
Further two films are screened out of competition. The Polish premiere awaits for The Teacher (d. Jan Hřebejk) within the Special Screening section and 5 October (d. Martin Kollar) is introduced in the Discoveries, the section showcasing films from all over the worlddealing with contemporary subjects and which have been presented at film festivals abroad.

The industry platform CentEast will host Peter Bebjak´s upcoming film The Line within the Works-in-Progress presentation. The 12th CentEast Market is also launching a new networking event the Warsaw Meetings where you will have a chance to meet Slovak producers Wanda Adamík Hrycová (Wandal Production), Marián Urban (ALEF FILM & MEDIA) and Zora Jaurová with Mátyás Prikler (MPhilms).

Furthermore, Alexandra Gabrižová and Zuzana Sotáková take part in the workshop for young and aspiring journalists and film critics FIPRESCI Warsaw Critics Project.
