Three Slovak films to compete in Vilnius

The 20th Vilnius FF Kino Pavasaris (March 19 - April 2, 2015) will welcome Slovak films after a year in its programme - three titles were selected for the jubilee edition.

The main competition of the festival, endtitled New Europe - New Names will present the feature debut of director Ivan Ostrochovský Koza (2015), which was recently premiered at the prestigious Berlinale. The film will be competing with other 9 European titles and will be introduced by the director, personally.

The Short Film Competition includes two Slovak films this year, both animation: Rosso Papavero (2014) by Martin Smatana, which was also presented at this year's Berlinale, and Nina (2014) by Veronika Obertová and Michaela Čopíková.

Last year, a total of five Slovak films was screened within the festival, two of which brought back home awards: Miracle (2013) received the Best Actress Award (Michaela Bendulová) and Pandas (2013) became the Best Short Films.
