Three Czech Lions go to Slovak co-production titles

Czech Lions were ruling last weekend's Czech film events. Burning Bush by Agniezska Holland won in almost all the categories it was nominated in. With its eleven Czech Lions, the film has became a new record.

The Best Actress in a Leading Role Award went to Petra Špalková for her role in Like Never Before (2013) directed by Zdeněk Tyc. The same award, in a male version, went to Jiří Schmitzer for his performance in the same title. The film was co-produced by the Slovak production company PubRes. The film was internationally premiered at the 29th Warsaw FF.

The Award for the  Best Actor in a Supporting Role went to Jiři Labus for his role in Clownwise (2013) directed by Viktor Tauš. The film ´s Slovak co-producer is the productiona company SOKOL KOLLAR.

Two awards were also granted to Slovak film professionals - costume designer Katarína Hollá (Burning Bush) and cinematographer Martin Štrba (Burning Bush).
