Slovak scriptwriter Zuzana Liová won the Krzysztof Kieœlowski Award

Irene Jacob and Zuzana Liova in Cannes (May, 22nd 2007)

Zuzana Liová won the Krzysztof Kieslowski TVP Award 2007 for the Best Eastern and Central European Script. She was awarded for her script The House, a compelling family drama, which participated in the 1. edition of ScripTeast programme (2006/2007).

 

The verdict of the ScripTeast Advisory Board (Simon Perry, Antoine de Clermont-Tonnerre, Agnieszka Holland, Maciej Karpinski, Antonio Saura, Manfred Schmidt, Dariusz Jablonski) was presented by Irène Jacob on May 22, in the TVP's (Telewizja Polska's / Polish) pavilion in Cannes.

The Krzysztof Kieslowski TVP Award for the Best Eastern and Central European Script is given to the best script participating in ScripTeast, the program for experienced scriptwriters from Eastern and Central Europe. ScripTeast is an innovatory training program, designed for experienced scriptwriters from Eastern and Central Europe. It is meant to help scriptwriters from this region overcome barriers they encounter, enhance competitiveness of the already written scripts and promote them among best European producers.
