Slovak nominations for European Academy Awards announced

Slovak Film and Television Academy (SFTA) has decided on two Slovak films to apply for the European Film Awards. The Academy nominates a fiction feature film Little Harbour by Iveta Grófová (winner of Crystal Bear at Berlinale 2017) and a documentary A Hole in the Head by Robert Kirchhoff.

The Academy members were selecting from among five fiction films: The Teacher (d.Jan Hřebejk), A Prominent Patient (d. Julius Ševčík), Detour on the Path to Perfect Illusion (d. Róbert Fižo), Kidnapping (d. Mariana Čengel Solčanská) and Little Harbour (d. Iveta Grófová).

In the documentary films category met six titles: Okhwan's Mission Impossible (d. Marek Mackovič), When Land Is Looking for Its Heaven (d. Erik Praus), This Is Not Me (d. Miro Remo), The Final (d. Dušan Milko, Palo Korec), Grey Lizard Conspiracy (d. Maroš Berák), A Hole in the Head (d. Robert Kirchhoff).

The jubilee 30th European Film Award Gala Ceremony will be held on December 7, 2017 in Berlin, Germany.
