Slovak films presented in Paris

During September 22 - October 5, 2010 fans of Slovak cinema will have a chance to watch the most successful titles - both archive films and new Slovak films - at the prestigious art cinema Champollion in Paris.

The event is referring to the exhibition of Slovak gothic art in Museé Cluny in Paris. The collection of films includes both films from the 60s to new Slovak cinema: The Boxer and Death (1962)  by Peter Solan,  The Organ (1964) by Štefan Uher, The Prime of Life (1967) by Juraj Jakubisko, Celebration in the Botanical Garden (1969) by Elo Havetta, three films by Dušan Hanák Pictures of the Old World (1972), Pink Dreams (1976) a I Love, You Love (1980) and the new films The Garden (1995) by Martin Šulík, Two Syllables Behind (2004) by Katarína Šulajová, Blind Loves (2008) by Juraj Lehotský a Soul at Peace (2009) by Vlado Balko. Both Dušan Hanák and Vlado Balko will present their films in person.
