Slovak films at Festroia IFF

The26th edition of the Festroia International Film Festival in Setúbal, Portugal focuses on Slovak cinema. The program of the festival will include not only recent Slovak full-length and short films, but also some of the most significant Slovak archive films. During June 4 - 13, 2010 the films will be presented by the filmmakers in person.

Four films will be presented in the festival's competition sections. Soul at Peace by Vlado Balko will compete in the Official Section, Cooking History by Peter Kerekes, Blind Loves by Juraj Lehotský and Moon Inside You by Diana Fabianová in the Man and His Environment section. The Tribute to a Country - Slovakia section will present films such as - Everything I Like by Martin Šulík, Pink Dreams by Dušan Hanák, Lady Winter by Juraj Jakubisko, Cruel Joys by Juraj Nvota, Heaven, Hell... Earth by Laura Siváková, Tobruk by Václav Marhoul, The Raven by Michal Balហand Arsy-Versy by Miroslav Remo. The Film School section will present Slovak student short films.

The Slovak delegation will consist of the director Laura Siváková, actress Zuzana Kanócz, director Miroslav Remo, director and animator Katarína Kerekesová, director Peter Kerekes, director Diana Fabiánová, director Vladimír Balko, scriptwriter and writer Jozef Heriban, film theorist Martin Kaňuch and publicist Jaroslav Hochel.
