Slovak films at Cinematik 2015

The jubilee 10th edition of Film Festival Cinematik took place on Sept 10 - 15 2015 in Piešťany.

The line-up featured lots of Slovak films, most of them in its Slovak premiere.
The sidebar In the House intorudced four Slovak titles: The Cleaner (r. Peter Bebjak), Koza (r. Ivan Ostrochovský), Lokalfilmis (r. Jakub Kroner) and Osudový Okamih (r. Gabriel Hoštaj).

Another section Cinematik.doc Within focused on domestic feature and screened a selection of Slovak documentaries:
Return to the Burning House (d. Anna Grusková)
So far, so near (d. Jaro Vojtek)
Okinawa - Slovensko, cesta karate (d. Anton Szomolányi)
Suri (d. Pavol Barabáš)
Colors of the Sand(d. Ladislav Kaboš)
Ghosts (d. Bibiana Beňová, Michael Kaboš)
Milan Čorba (d. Martin Šulík)
wave vs. shore (d. Martin Štrba),
Through the Eyes of the Photographer (d. Matej Mináč).

The jury decided to hand the Cinematik.doc Award to Slovak director and well-known DOP Martin Štrba for his  wave vs. shore and Ladislav Kaboš’s time-lapse documentary Colors of the Sand  obtained the Award of the Mayor of Piešťany.
