Slovak Films in Les Arcs, France

The third edition of the festival of European films Festival de Cinéma Européen des Arcs will take place December 10 - 17, 2011 in the ski resort of Bourg-Saint-Maurice / Les Arcs in France. Two Slovak films will be presented at the festival this year - both in its festival programme and its industry programme.

The winner from Karlovy Vary Gypsy (SK-CZ, 2011) by Martin Šulík will compete for the Crystal Arrow in the Official Competition, together with 11 other selected titles.

The events for film professionals were extended this year, as well - besides the Arc 1950 Coproduction Village, the presentation of projects in post-production Work in Progress will take place. The feature debut by Mátyás Prikler Fine, Thanks will be presented within the selection of seven projects in progress, together with the new projects of Baltasar Kormakur or Szabolcs Hajdu. The short film Thanks, Fine by Mátyás Prikler was presented at La Cinéfondation, Cannes IFF in 2010.

The Slovak director and producer Juraj Krasnohorský attended the co-production market Arc 1950 Coproduction Village with his project Heaven for the Devil in the past.
