Oscar for The Lunch Box

The middle-length film The Lunch Box (The Lunch Box, 2009) by Ľubomír Mihail Kocka, recently nominated for the national film awards The Sun in the Net and awarded at Palm Springs International Shortfest (best student fiction film over 15 minutes) or at the 57. Columbus International Film + Video Festival (Special mention) will be awarded with a student Oscar on June 12, 2010. If it will be a bronze, silver or a golden statue will be known after the ceremony.

The main roles of the film nominated by the Savannah College of Art and Design were played by Štefan Šafárik a Božiara Turzonovová. Previous winners of a student Oscar are Spike Lee, Trey Parker, John Lasseter or Robert Zemeckis. The film will be screened at the Slovak season section at the 18. Art Film Fest festival and on May 21, 2010 by the Slovak television.
