Lumiére Cinema will present contemporary Russian cinema

On Monday, September 23, the official opening of the Russian Film Days will take place at the Lumiére Cinema. Public will be able to watch films from Tuesday, September 24, at 20.00 and then every day at the same time. The showcase will be running for six days, till September 29.

The event presents the most successful contemporary Russian fiction films.

The opening film, Happy New Year, mothers! (2012), is the sequel film of Mothers (2012), a very successful Russian title. The showcase will continue with The Stories (d. Michal Segal , 2012), The Conductor (d. Pavel Lungin, 2012), Kokoko (d. Avdotia Smirnovova), The White Tiger (d. Karen Šachnazarov, 2012), Mothers (2012), 2 days (d. Avdotia Smirnovova).

The Russian delegation will be also present. Actresses Irina Rozanova, Julia Nazarenko (Happy New Year, mothers!), Daria Nosik (The Stories), Sergej Lazaruk the First Deputy Chairman of the Filmmakers Union of the Russian Federation and Grigorij Grevorkijan the Film Company Noy director, will be personally attending the event..

The event is organized based upon bilateral co-operation and upon the intergovernmental cultral agreements, the organizers being Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic, Slovak Film Institute, Embassy of the Russian Federation of Slovakia, Ministry of the Culture of the Russian Federation and the Film Company Noy.
