Further success of Slovak films

 Slovak films continue in their success, which they achieved in a number of significant film festivals.

Slovak successful animated film The Last Bus won awards, not just at one, but at two festivals: at the end of March at the International Film Festival New Vision 2012 for Best Short Film and at the Art Film Fest, held on 16. – 23. 6. 2012, the film won the Film Europe Award.

Another successful film was the film from directors Peter Oukropca and Bohdan Slama The Blue Tiger, which won the Audience Award at the International Film Festival in Kristiansand at the end of April. This film continued in its success at the Film Festival in Zlin (27. 5. – 3. 6. 2012) as well, where it received The Town of Zlín Award – Special Recognition for a Feature Film for Children.

At the end of May, was at the Vertical International Film Festival in Moscow awarded the film Trou de Fer from director Pavol Barabas as the Best Adventure Film.

The Slovak animation films tWINS and Who's There? were awarded at the Croatian Animafest at the end of May as well.

One of the recent success was achieved by a documentary film Nicky's family, which won at the Film Festival MakeDox in Macedonia (15. - 22. 6. 2012) the Children's Jury Award.
