Anilogue focuses on Slovak animation

The 13th edition of International Animation Film Festival Anilogue (Nov 25 – 29, 2015) in Budapest focuses on Slovak shorts.

The main selection consists of three section.
The first one - Slovak Animation: Men´s League - held on Nov 26 includes: Pandas (d. Matúš Vizár, 2013), tWINs (d. Peter Budinský, 2012), In the Box (d. Michal Struss, 1999), Busy-Body & Boar Strike Again (d. Andrej Kolenčík, 2009), If No, Then No (d. Vladimír Král, 1997), Echodance (d. Ondrej Rudavský, 2014), Pictures (d. Andrej Danóczy, 2015), Last Bus (d. Martin Snopek, Ivana Laučíková, 2011) and 7 ultra-shorts from the internet series Concreto et Block by Lukáš Sigmund.

A day later, on Nov 27, Slovak Animation: Women´s League - will show: Cheers! (d. Ivana Zajacová, Jozef Mitaľ, 2005), Fongopolis (d. Joanna Kozuch, 2014), About socks and Love (d. Michaela Čopíková, 2008), Viliam (d. Veronika Obertová, 2009), Who´s there? (d. Vanda Raymanová, 2010), The Story of a Tornado (d. Veronika Kocourková, 2013), In Line (d. Kamila Kučíková, 2014), Bubble (d. Mária Oľhová, 2012).

The third focus ection - History of Slovak Music Videos - will introduce videoclips from 1969 to present days.

Besides these core collections, Slovak animated films can be found within the programme: Aion (d. Petra Heleninová, 2014) competes in Short Film Competition, children focus includes Mimi and Lisa (d. Katarína Kerekesová, 2014) and In Line (d. Kamila Kučíkova, 2014) and Fongopolis (d. Joanna Kozuch, 2014) found their space at the Visegrad Ralley
The audience will also have a chance to see one of the most significant works of Slovak animation – The Bloody Lady by Viktor Kubal (1980).

Personal representation of the Slovak cinema counts a member of the international feature film jury Peter Budinský. Festival visitors can meet him, together with Mária Oľhová and Lukáš Sigmund, at the meet the filmmakers event.

The Focus on Slovak Animated Shorts is prepared in cooperation of Slovak curators Maroš Brojo, Eva Pa and Slovak Institute in Budapest.
