Áčko knows its winners!

Academy of Perfroming Arts was hosting the Student Film Festival Áčko again. Its 19th edition was held from October 14 to 17.

The festival presented not only Slovak student films but also films from Lisboa, Lebanon or Czech I-shorts. The masterclasses with Slovak and Czech film proffesionals and a screening of the selection of student shorts by Slovak well-known filmmakers were a part of the festival programme as well.

The jury – composed of Jaroslav Hochel, Peter Konečný, Peter Neveďal, Ivan Ostrochovský Juraj Štepka – decided to award the prizes to these titles:

LITA Award: Best Director: Ahoj láska - d.Lena Kušnieriková
LITA Award: Best Screenplay: Fear - screenplay: Michal Blaško, d. Michal Blaško
Best Fiction Film: Fear - d. Michal Blaško
Best Documentary film: Ahoj láska - d.Lena Kušnieriková
Best Animated Film: Kovbojsko - d. Dávid Štumpf
Best Sound: Balada o Tereze a Šimonovi - sound: Michal Horváth, d. Martin Hnát
Best Cinematography: Chronos - DOP: Martin Chlpík, d. Martin Kazimír
Best Editor: Kto chytá skryté - editor: Roman Kelemen
Jury Award for Best Film Effects: Chronos - d. Martin Kazimír
Best Film: Ahoj láska – d. Lena Kušnieriková
