Áčko festival will present Slovak student films and film professionals

Áčko festival - the Slovak Competition of Student Films will present not only the new Slovak student films from high schools to universities, but also will bring the Visegrad Film Forum industry event, which will present a wide spectrum of film professionals. The festival will take place October 18 - 22, 2011 at the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts Bratislava.

The Visegrad Film Forum will be dedicated to the future of European coproductions - schools from Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia will participate.  The guests of the event are Polish director Krzysztof Zanussi, Slovak cinematographer Igor Luther, documentary filmmaker Peter Kerekes, American scriptwriter, producer and director Allison Argo, Czech documentary filmmakers Vít Klusák & Filip Remunda, Hungarian director Benedek Fliegauf, the CEO of the Austrian distribution company Sasha Wieser, the organizers of the scriptwriting workshop MIDPOINT, Hungarian editor Réka Lemhényi.
