Dom je intímna dráma vzťahu otca a dcéry, v ktorej sa stretávajú sny rôznych generácií. Imrich buduje svoj vlastný životný sen – stavia dom pre svoju mladšiu dcéru Evu a očakáva, že tým navždy upevní ich rodinné puto. Eva sníva len o tom, že po maturite konečne opustí „väzenie dokonalého domova“ a vydá sa spoznávať svet. Ťažko nesie otcove starosvetské názory a jeho prístup k matke a sestre, a robí všetko preto, aby mohla čo najskôr „vypadnúť“. Nečakane jej cestu skríži starší a ženatý Jakub. Čoskoro však všetky tajomstvá vyplávajú na povrch a otec s dcérou sa musia rozhodnúť, akým smerom sa budú ďalej uberať ich životy.
The House tells the story of an imperfect man’s dream of a perfect family. Imrich is building his own dream by building a house for his younger daughter, Eva, in the hope that this will bring them closer together. With Eva, it’s her dream of love and the world beyond that forces her to rebel. She cannot accept her father´s conservative opinions and the way he treats Eva´s mother and sister. Eva´s scandalous affair with a married teacher is only the beginning. Eventually, all the secrets are revealed and the father and the daughter have to decide how their lives are going to continue.
