The 2017 edition of Berlinale has been a success for Slovak films. Spoor by Agnieszka Holland and Kasia Adamik have received the Silver Bear – Alfred Bauer Prize and Little Harbour by Iveta Grófová was awarded the Crystal Bear. |

The GWFF collective society scholarship grant
It is our great pleasure to announce that talented Slovak production student Radka Babincová has won the 4 500 Euro scholarship grant funded by German collective society GWFF – Gesellschaft zur Wahrnehmung von Film- und Fernsehrechten mbH. The price is being awarded in co-operation with FilmFestival Cottbus since 2007. |

This year, Slovakia will be present at the European Film Market in Berlin for the 12th time. Together with friends and colleagues from the Czech Republic and Slovenia, under the umbrella of the Central European Cinema, The Slovak Film Institute offers an informational and promotional point for Slovak cinema, and a networking place for Slovak film professionals and their international counterparts.
The Slovak Film Institute team is ready and happy to meet you at the Central European Cinema stand No. 137 in Martin-Gropius-Bau. We will present recent Slovak films and co-productions, as well as treasures from the National Film Archive. The new edition of the catalogue Slovak Films 16 – 17, including the Slovak Film Guide will be also available, providing up-to-date information about recent Slovak cinema.

The presentation of Slovak cinema and audiovisual industry at the European Film Market is organized by the Slovak Film Institute, with financial support of tte Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic, in partnership with the Slovak Cultural Institute in Berlin.
