The Sun in a Net 2012 - Nominations
During February, members of the Slovak Film and Television Academy (SFTA) voted in a first round and selected nominees for the Slovak National Film Awards The Sun in a Net 2012 in particular categories. Slovak films premiered in 2010 and 2011 compete for this award. The members of the Academy selected the films from 8 feature films, 25 documentaries, 8 animation and 11 short fiction films applied.
87 ballots returned to the office of SFTA, meaning 67 % of the Academy voted in the first round.
Most nominated were films Gypsy (12 nominations) and The House (12 nominations), Apricot Island (8 nominations), Identity Card (5 nominations), 25 from the Sixties or the Czechoslovak New Wave (2 nominations), Legend of Flying Cyprian (2 nominations), Surviving Life (2 nominations).
The Sun in a Net 2012 Gala Ceremony will take place April 17, 2012 in the new Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava.
