The jubilee Festival of Slovak and Central European Film in Cran-Gevrier
The Festival of Slovak and Central European Film celebrates the 10th anniversary. The biennale showcase which takes place in the French town Cran-Gevrier will be held on November 19 – 25 and will traditionally present the recent Slovak production.
The opening film of the festival is The Candidate (2013) which will be personally introduced by the director Jonáš Karásek in the La Turbine Cinema on November 21. Further Slovak films screened within the programme: Koza (d. Ivan Ostrochovský, 2015), coproduction title Fair Play (d. Andrea Sedláčková, 2014, CZ-SK) and documentaries Normalization (d. Robert Kirchhoff, 2013) and All My Children (d. Ladislav Kaboš, 2013).
At the jubilee edition of the festival Martin Šulík becomes a patron of the festival. On this occasion two his films will be introduced to the French audience: The Garden (1995) and Gypsy (2011).
