SOUL AT PEACE to compete for the Crystal Globe at Karlovy Vary IFF
Slovak film SOUL AT PEACE by Vlado Balko has been selected for the Official Selection – Competition at 44. Karlovy Vary International Film Festival 2009 (July 3 - 11). After five year, a majority Slovak film production is thus again included in the main competition of this important „A“ film festival, since Cruel Joys (dir. Juraj Nvota, SK-CZ 2002) competed for the Crystal Globe for Best Feature Film in Karlovy Vary in 2003. In 2005, two further Slovak co-production films were fighting for the Crystal Globe at Karlovy Vary IFF: The City of the Sun (dir. Martin Šulík, CZ-SK 2005) and The Unburied Man (dir. Márta Meszáros, HU-PL-SK 2005) .
