Slovak Films at Warsaw Film Festival
The 33rd Warsaw Film Festival (Oct 13 – 22, 2017) features three Slovak films.
Short experimental film 39 Weeks, 6 Days (d. Joanna Kozuch, Boris Šima) vies in the short film competition. The animated diary shows self-portraits of woman and man, married couple and co-authors during 40 weeks of the gravidity.
Moreover, section Discoveries, showcasing films from all over the world dealing with contemporary subjects and which have been presented at film festivals abroad, introduces films: Nina (d. Juraj Lehotský) that was world-premiered at Karlovy Vary IFF and a co-production title Freedom (d. Jan Speckenbach) world-premiered at Locarno IFF.
