Slovak films at the Black Nights Tallinn IFF in Estonia

The Black Nights Tallinn International Film Festival is celebrating its 15th edition. Taking place November 16 - 30, 2011 it will also present successful Slovak films both in within the main festival and in the sub-festivals of the event.

The Panorama section includes four Slovak films: the Slovak national Oscar nomination and the four time winner from Karlovy Vary Gypsy (dir. Martin Šulík), the Karlovy Vary premiered debut  of director Peter Krištúfek Visible World, the Czech national Oscar nomination and at the same time the Czech entrance to the animation category of the Oscars, successful at various festivals Alois Nebel (dir. Tomáš Luňák) and the recent film of the successful Czech director Ondřej Trojan Identity Card. The critically praised debut of Zuzana Liová The House will be presented within the Forum section.

Slovak cinema will have its representative in one of the sub-festivals of Black Nights - Animated Dreams International Festival of Animation Films, 16. - 20. 11. 2011: the International Competition will include Stones by Katarína Kerekesová.

Last year the festival presented a collection of archive films of the Czechoslovak new wave.
