Slovak Film Days in Serbia
In four Serbian cities - Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš and Backi Petrovac the Slovak Film Days will take place during December 13 - 23, 2010. Seven both fiction and documentary films are included in the programme of the event. The presentation of Slovak cinema will be open by the film Bathory by Juraj Jakubisko, which is soon going to be distributed in Serbia.
The Slovak Film Days will start in Belgrade (December 13 – 16) and a collection of Slovak films will be presented to the audience aftwards: in Novi Sad (December 17 - 23), in Niš (December 21 - 23) and in Backi Petrovac, where the film Broken Promise byJiří Chlumský will be screened on December 14, in the presence of the leading actor Samuel Spišák. The other films to be screened are: Mosquitoes' Tango by Miloslav Luther, Other Worlds by Marka Škop, Blind Loves by Juraj Lehotský and two archive films – I Love, You Love by Dušan Hanák, in which one of the leading roles is played by the Serbian actor Milan Jelić, and Lady Winter by Juraj Jakubisko for the youngest audience.
The organizers of the Slovak Film Days in Serbia are Film Center Serbia, The Ministry of Culture of Serbia, cultural centers in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš, the Slovak Film Institute and the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic in co-operation with the Slovak Embassy in Belgrade.
