Slovak film at the 38. edition of the Summer Film School Uherské Hradiště

The 38th edition of the Summer Film School in Uherské Hradiště, Czech Republic will start July 21 and will last until July 28. Several Slovak titles will appear in the programme this year, as well. This participation will come to its top during the traditional Slovak day, on Tuesday July 24, 2012, when the highlights of the Slovak programme will take place.

The 60s classics and the founding film of the Czechoslovak New Wave The Sun in a Net (1962) by Štefan Uher will be presented along the new titles introduced by the Summer Film School. The archive film is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and will screened from a 2K DCP with a digitally restored picture and sound.

The Slovak director Martin Šulík, also celebrating his 50th birthday, will be honour by the organizers with the Annual Award of the AČFK. On this occasion the director's 1992 film Everything I Love will be screened.

Martin Šulík, Judit Bárdos and Róbert Šveda will also personally present their films.

The festival shop Terryho ponožky in Hvězda theatre will also offer publications and DVD released by the Slovak FIlm Institute. This year's special will be The Sun in a Net poster.
