Prague hosting the new East Doc Platform
The industry platform, previously hosted by the International Documentary Film Festival Ji.hlava, will present itself in within a new setting: the One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival in Prague: the 1st edition of the East Doc Platform will take place March 6 - 11, 2012, at the Archa Palace and Theatre in Prague.
The East Doc Platform will cover the activities supporting East European documentary filmmaking in all stages of production - the organizer Institute of Documentary Film will offer sub-events we know well from previous years:
- 12th East European Forum - public presentation of 16 projects in production stage (10. – 11. 3. 2012)
- 3rd Doc Launch presentation - pubilc presentation of 9 project in rough cut stage (9. 3. 2012)
- 3rd Project Market - individual meetings with television producers, buyers, distributors, festival programmers, fund representatives and sales companies (8. – 10. 3. 2012)
- East Silver Videotheque - 300 finished films from Central and East Europe (6. – 11. 3. 2012)
East Doc Platform will connect more than 120 East European directors and producers with over 50 key world professionals.
The sub-programmes of East Doc Platform will present Slovak films, as well: New Life by Adam Oľha, Blueberry Spritis by Astra Zoldnere, The Gypsy Vote by Jaroslav Vojtek and Al Entisar - The Boat of Hope by Ladislav Kaboš.
Slovakia will be represented in the official programme of the festival One World, too: Al Entisar - The Boat of Hope by Ladislav Kaboš and Welcome, Come In by Paula Ďurinová and Vladimíra Hradecká were selected to the Short Films section.
